B&W Street Photography

Image
This week's challenge is Black and White Street Photography, which we decided had to be a black and white image (obviously) and should be a candid shot and not a posed portrait.  It could be actually from a street scene, workplace, home, etc.  Each photographer will post their photos here for the others in the group to admire and enjoy. My first shot is one of Andy Steele, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Clark County Indiana.  Andy was hard at work and contemplating a case when I shot him from the doorway of his office.  I liked the shot quite a bit so I also cropped the image tighter for a close-up rendition.  I hope you enjoy my take on "THE PROSECUTOR".  Comments and critique appreciated. Here are a couple more entries for the B&W challenge...although not as good as The Prosecutor IMHO. Black and White Street Photography My entries this week were taken at Sunday River Ski Resort.  I took Arielle skiing at the "big" mountai...

Eagle Challenge Feb. 9, 2020

Image
Juvenile Eagle over the Kennebec This week's challenge was Eagle.   I drove to my favorite eagle spot but found only one mature eagle in a tree, sitting in the shadow of another tree. There were too many branches in the way so I decided to drive into Benton.  No eagles to be seen at the falls or near the river.  I gave up and drove back to Skowhegan where I stopped and took a few pictures of the ice disc that formed at the Great Eddy during the night.   While I was stopped at the Eddy, two juvenile eagles flew directly over me.  I opened my moon roof and took several shots.  This was the only one in focus but I loved how the sunlight shows through the wings. I went out early before dawn to await the sunrise...I was hoping to get a silhouette shot of an eagle and nest in the sunrise sky...and I got it.  I also went to 4 other eagle nests without success.  Thankfully I got another eagle shot on Saturday as well.
